Enjoy the blog a great deal. How do you feel about the double - even triple - rolled jean/pant look (with desert boots or loafers and uniquely patterned socks showing)? I have been seeing tons of European pics with this look, but haven’t seen it make a huge impact here in the States, yet. I’ve been trying to integrate this look into my day-to-day as I’m 6’4” and have plenty of old - still well-fitting - pants that are just a bit too short. This remedies the problem just nicely.
If you are not totally opposed to this look, do you have any good outfit recommendations? One outfit I have been cycling is a pair of slim fit khakis, green/red/etc. plaid light flannel shirt, thick gray sweater, deep navy toggle jacket, and brown leather desert boots
I saw a bit of this rolled denim/pant late Summer last year. Let me start of by saying it’s important the denim/pants your wearing. Make sure it’s the right fit. If you roll the cuff on baggy jeans/pants it’s not a pleasant look (MC Hammer). Make sure your doing this on straight or skinny fitting jean/pants. I roll my denim and wear black socks. I mainly do this because my inseam is 35” (normally wear 32”) I don’t like my socks to be loud, usually black or 2 color stripe.
Since your 6 4” I can see why you have to roll your denim/pants. Make sure your doing 1 roll to show selvedge and a little bit of the sock. Any more rolls since your tall might not be good. The outfit you described sounds perfect but make sure you donate those red khakis, keep your bottom colors neutral, let the shirt be loud instead if you must.
