Nigel Cabourn | Army Plimsole
For his SS12 Authentic collection, Nigel has taken particular inspiration from the clothing worn by the Desert Rats - British troops stationed in North Africa during WWII, under the command of General Montgomery. Many familiar pieces from previous Authentic collections make a welcome return, updated with new detailing, fabrics and colour combinations inspired by the Desert Rats.
Based on vintage British army training shoes, these plimsoles stay true to the simple original designs. Constructed from authentic British military cotton drill uppers, with metal eyelets and a ridged rubber sole.
