USB 3.0 First Close Up Look I never thought I’d be excited about a cable but I am. When data transfer gets faster it puts a big smile in my face. Get out of the way firewire 400 and firewire 800, the big dog is in town. The picture above is a close look at the new connectors for USB 3.0 brought to us by MaximumPC. Just so you know here are some of the true and hard facts: USB 3.0 can transfer a 27GB file in just 70 seconds New USB will be able to simultaneously send and receive information The spec has been bumped from carrying 100 miliamps to 900 milliamps (quicker charge time) Pretty exciting huh!via: Giz
