THe Macrophenomenal Pro Basketball Almanac

My dad was kind enough to get me the NBA League Pass for the 2009-2010 season and man oh man is it great. The only complain I have is that all the games are in SD quality, no HD. I get to watch all the Rockets game (Ariza fan here), all the Cavs games and even the KD35 games.

Bobby was kind enough to let me borrow the Freedarko, The Macrophenomenal Pro Basketball Almanac and I’ve been hooked. The illustrations are amazing, graphs, statistics and player anatomy make you feel like a huge geek.

Highly Recoomend this book for NBA fans.

For the past few months I’ve been thinking about buying a television for my bedroom. I looked at a few HD monitors and HD TV’s but nothing caught my eye considering my budget. I took a trip down to my local thrift store and this RCA black/white television caught my eye.

I did my research and it’s some of the last televisions that were manufactured by RCA in the United States (c.1980), score.

Lacoste Cerberus S

I’m a big fan of vintage court low sneakers. I own a few Nikes but the newly release Lacoste Cerberus S are looking very good. Premium leather, Flat front toe cap and one solid color all around the sneaker. I might need to the Cerberus S since I can’t seem to save up for the Common Projects Court Low.

The Cerberus S will be available at select Lacoste stockists across South East Asia from November ‘09.

Luckily I’ve managed to take care of the new pair and they are even in mint condition (means a lot). A.P.C | Tres Bien Shop

Two Button Boy Jacket -

I keep hearing great things about this boiled wool fabrication but not completely sold. It seems fairly fragile but If I was a teacher this is the type of jacket I would wear.

Casual Jacket -

This A.P.C jacket is just that, basic. It features inside collar corduroy fabrication with a wool exterior. Perfect for the Fall/Winter season.

Plaid Shirt -

Pink is definitely not my color but I can appreciate this a great looking shirt. I don’t personally own any A.P.C shirts but if i’ve tried some on and the fit is right on point. Does that count?

New Standard Washed -

This wash was offered in the Petit Standard fit last season (spring/summer) and for Fall/Winter it has made it’s way to the New Standard fit. I’m personally a fan of the Petit Standard but just showing these for the light wash.

Windowpane Tweed Briefcase -

This Engineered Garments bag might not be durable enough to keep your notebook safe but it sure looks fancy. The tweed is a nice change from the over saturation of nylon and leather bags. The only down side is that the shoulder strap is made out of nylon webbing, leather would’ve been nice.

Orange Plaid Flannel Scarf -

It’s hard for me to wear flannel shirts.. I just feel really bright wearing them. With Fall / Winter right around the corner it would be nice to add color with a scarf instead of a flannel shirt.

Note both Engineered Garment products shown are designed and manufacture in New York. Viva the “hand crafted in USA” revival!

Who needs Arc’teryx when Gregory has some of the best looking Packs in the market? End Clothing updated the product offering with these new Day Packs and duffle bags. The Navy/Oatmeal day pack has an interesting vintage look but with a modern take, definitely my favorite.

I won’t be replacing my Gregory Long Haul Duffle anytime soon but if you are looking for a more affordable duffle this is a great option.

Young/Fresh Italian brand Noodlepark showcases a few items from the Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. Pictured are 4 amazing jacket. (Product commented on clockwise)

Windreaker Jacket -

Coach style windbreaker with nylon coil contrast zipper taping. This style is very basic but it may be the color and basic seam detail that makes it 10x better.

Khaki Jacket-

To me this jacket resembles a Members Only just with a much more sophisticated silhouette. Chest flap w/ button adds a nice twist along with slated opposite chest zipper.

Motorcycle Nylon Jacket -

Not quite sure it this jacket is made out of nylon but it’s a great idea. It mixes the styling of a motorcycle (leather jacket) double breasted detail with fabrication of wind breaker.

Pea Coat Jacket -

I don’t really need this, living in So. Cal and all but my readers from East Coast or anywhere that rains can appreciate this style.

I finally managed to turn some friends into “Bored to Death” followers/watchers. Sundays episode showed Jonathan’s development into a full blow “danger around the corner” detective. He also managed to make $200, that’s a start.

Obey Clothing x Levi’s Collaboration

I’m a big fan of Obey clothing but some of the latest product they’ve pushed have been mediocre. A few weeks ago Obey gave us a teaser of the Levi’s collaboration but full press release has now been announced along with collection images. The collaboration has a few tees, woven shirts, bandana, a denim jacket and of course denim.

The denim jacket pictured above is by far my favorite. Not only does the design give you a vintage denim jacket feel but the signature Obey jersey hood. The distress points on the denim are right on point without over doing.
